Q: How is this different from a standard lipless crankbait?

A: Standard lipless crankbaits run 14–18g and work best shallow. The 90S at 36g is built for distance casting and deeper water — it’s a search tool for structure fishing, not a grass-edge bait. 

Q: What rod works best?

A: Medium-Heavy to Heavy casting rod, 7’–7’6”, fast action. The extra weight loads the rod well for long casts.

Q: Can I use it in cold water?

 A: Yes — a slow yo-yo retrieve near bottom in 50–55°F water can be very effective. As water warms above 60°F, switch to faster horizontal retrieves.
